"The wind today feels just right... Ah, right, it's autumn," Ibara mumbled, leaning back in his chair as he stretched, stifling a yawn. His office felt stuffy after hours spent immersed in work, and the crisp, cool breeze outside called to him. The change in seasons had softened the harsh summer heat, replacing it with a refreshing, mellow air that crept in through the small opening in his office window.
Stepping out of his office for a break, he scanned the bustling hall, taking in the sight of staff members absorbed in their tasks. Just as he began to feel the strain lift, a familiar voice carried down the hallway, unmistakably pleading, “Sita-nee, please... just a little bit of sweets!”
Following the sound, he found the twins, Hinata and Yuta, practically bouncing in front of their manager, Sita. She stood with her arms crossed, brow knit, her expression a blend of frustration and fondness.
“What’s the fuss over here?” Ibara’s firm voice cut through the commotion, drawing immediate attention. Both twins froze, their playful rebellion fading into nervous obedience as they turned to him.
"Ah, sorry, Ibara,” Sita sighed, flashing him a tired smile. “The kids want sweets, but they didn’t keep their promise to be on time for practice today.” She looked at the twins with a mix of exasperation and affection, like an older sister gently scolding her younger brothers.
Yuta shot an accusatory look at his brother, “It was Aniki who made us late!”
Hinata’s eyes widened in disbelief, “W-what? You were the one who took forever in the shower! Even Hakaze-senpai had to use the other bathroom!”
Ibara raised an eyebrow, folding his arms in silent disapproval, though his gaze shifted slightly to Sita, noticing the small signs of weariness in her eyes. "Alright, enough,” he said, his voice firm yet calm. "Apologize to your manager properly. She’s gone through the trouble of trying to keep you on schedule, and it’s obvious she’s a bit frustrated.”
